SFARM is structured in 7 Work Packages
WP1: IDENTIFICATION OF SIMILAR CURRICULA & NEEDS ASSESSMENT IN THE SUBJETC AREA
The aim of this work package is to survey and identify the existing HEI programmes in Europe and Asia on sustainable farming and agro-environmental technologies, as well as similar lifelong-learning/VET training programmes.WP2: CAPACITY – BUILDING & CURRICULA DEVELOPMENT
The aim of this WP will be for European and Asian partners to use the inputs from WP1 to develop the new SFARM MSc programme. The proposed MSc programme will be a holistic and integrated approach to quality education and life-long learning on sustainable agriculture, covering aspects such as advanced agro-environmental technologies.WP3: ACADEMIC STAFF TRAINING & PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY
One of the main ways in which the SFARM project will build capacity in the Asian partner HEIs is through the professional development of their academic and administrative staff. Professional development opportunities are often limited in higher education institutions (also in the EU) and via this project, professors will be given the opportunity to meet other peers in their field, in different countries.WP4: ACCREDITATION & DELIVERY OF THE COURSES
In WP4, all activities and deliverables that have been carried out earlier in the project will be put to the test as Asian Partner HEIs will deliver the programme. A necessary step before the delivery is the successful accreditation of the MSc programme in Vietnam, Laos, China and Indonesia.
WP5: QUALITY ASSURANCE & MONITORING
This WP aims at maintaining a watch on quality to assure the actions of the project are properly executed and outputs produced are of a sufficient quality to be considered ‘high’. The WP has linkages with all others, and especially management. The objective is on providing a set of monitoring tools and bodies for the project activities.WP6: DISSEMINATION & EXPLOITATION
Dissemination will be a targeted, systematic process that will not be left for the end of the project.
This work package aims to:
- Disseminate information on the project to the widest audience possible through targeted actions
- Ensure sustainability of the major project’s results through the appropriate exploitation planning
- Spread and growth of the established partnership between the European and Asian HEIs as well as other stakeholders that will be involved during the project.
WP7: MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION
The objectives of this WP can be summarized as follows:- Effective and concerted project implementation
- Management of the project’s external relations, with EACEA and stakeholders.
- Ensure external input from actors in the field.
